With the help of the HOV lane, made our planned arrival time of noon at the Box Canyon Campground takeout location. Exactly five hours commute from the Northwest corner of Phoenix. Initially mistook Mogollon Creek for the Gila and thought the low water was due to severe braiding. Pinpointed our takeout location to be just below the Mogollon/Gila junction. At the time, thought the scenery was excellent but by trips end we had paddled through much better. Mark, Bryan, and myself made up the paddling trio.
