Spent the previous night in Van Horn Texas after knocking out the first 570 miles. It was an additional 160 miles to Rancherias. The most memorable event, outside of the commute length, was the tethered radar dirigible. From a distance we were puzzled that something that big could be so stationary so high in the sky. It all made sense after reading the signs. We browsed Rancherias to confirm that the rapids appeared to be rated for canoes and that we would save a couple groover days.
