We wanted Saddle camp, but you can't outrun motor rigs and the commercials always take it. One reason is the established trail up Saddle Canyon as seen here. You do have a view of the Triple Alcoves, but it's not the same as an evening hike. One boat ferried cross-river but could not make it easily or timely to the trail. The kitchen area had a climb to get to it as did the cot/tent/groover spots. Typically we slept 6 on the boats and 9 ashore.
