Day 2 - River Mile 107 to River Mile 101

Books say Clarno Rapid bumps from class III to a IV at 6000 cfs which was where we were at. Solid III+ with a hole on river left that all avoided. Clarno consists of a lead-in rapid, some rock-dodging, a hard-left followed by a hard-right, more hole and rock-dodging, the rapid itself, and a long tail. For a first-time whitewater runner, George did well, especially since his self-bailer holes were unknowingly closed. Here he bails out the swamped IK before proceeding backwards through Clarno. Took the little-used middle channel approach in the surf-cat due to being asleep at the oars. JPW Cutthroat run was clean.
