Day 1 - Transit to El Vado Ranch

Instead of the one day marathon to drive 12 hours and do the majority of rigging, Lucy and I decide to leave a day early. So it's a leisurely 8:30 AM start for the drive to El Vado (Cooper's) Ranch. Most noteworthy occurrence was a room-confirmation call to the Ranch where the maid informs us the flow has risen from 2500 to 6000 CFS. Both of us can not believe it. Cabin #4 awaits us upon arrival. We are surprised at the amount of flooding. The gauge shows 6.8 feet and wave trains exists where none were before.
