Day 2 - River Mile 2.9 to the Needles Eye

The morning ice was an unexpected stunner with some enduring an uncomfortable, cold night. It was a beautiful morning on the river and we arrived within minutes at the rowboat and corral which is the normal access point. Perfect weather, spectacular scenery, endless strainers, and rock-dodging were a constant as the day wore on. This photo is just above one of the tougher rapids at mile 5. Loved the canyon walls, even if the wildlife was not overly friendly.
